In 1989, when the Rotogravure printing industry was in dire need for a radical approach, one man pioneered the initiative. Mr. Nehal Amin founded Technomec to change the face of the industry. This institution of change has been systematically built on robust pillars - its directors. Driven by a team of technocrats with extensive technical & managerial expertise, today, Technomec has evolved into an industry in itself.

Today, Technomec has become the synonym of ultimate service and quality in the global rotogravure industry. We have been successfully catering to the customers like Constantia Packaging, Huhtamaki, ITC Ltd., Amcor & Paharpur Packaging in India, as their sole supplier of cylinders for more than a decade. We regularly export our cylinders to reputed business houses in the GCC, MEA, Europe, Mexico and Latin America. Our exports contribute to almost 50% of our annual production.
We have been regularly executing the jobs for the brands like HUL, Unilever Global, PepsiCo, Colgate, Dabur, P&G, Cipla, Reckitt – Benckiser, Britannia, Amul, Mondelez, Asian Paints, Castrol, Tata, Wipro and many more.
The company was established back in 1989 in Ahmedabad – Gujarat in the western India by our acting Managing Director Mr. Nehal Amin.
He started the company as the manufacturing unit of Steel-Base Cylinders. His constant quest to consistently manufacture the best quality cylinders, soon paid off and gained Technomec the reputation as the best cylinder manufacturer in India. The multinationals like Huhtamaki, ITC and Amcor and the large-scale converters like P3P group acknowledged the same and took Technomec on board as their sole cylinder vendor for more than a decade now. This is indeed a rare case for the Indian market, which is always highly competitive on all fronts.
In 2006, we forward integrated into copper-plating by installing a Swiss Auto-line. This was further supported with the inclusion of Copper-polishing facility – The Polishmaster in 2013. Today, Technomec is the only Cylinder-maker in South Asia, who offer Ready-to-Engrave Cylinders to the customers across the globe.
In 2012, Mr. Amal Amin joined the Technomec Board as the Director to take forward legacy of his father and the visionary Mr. Nehal Amin. Now, with the increased bench-strength, Technomec continued to foray into forward integration.
In 2016, the Technomec family grew further with the inclusion of Mr. Nitin Apte and Mr. Abhay Tamhankar as Technical Directors. We forward integrated into Electronic Engraving. Technomec became Globally the First Company to commence Electronic Engraving by installing 5 Hi-end Engravers (2 Ohio Spectrums, 1 Hell K500G3, 2 Hell K5 Smarts). Later on, in 2020, another Industry veteran Mr. Bhaskaran Nair joined our board.
Now, we are welcoming the year 2021 by going global and setting up our first overseas plant in Ras-Al-Khaimah – UAE. This is one of its kinds of the engraving houses in the UAE, which comprises of all the activities – right from Steel Cylinder Manufacturing to Electronic Engraving Under One Roof.
